CAPE TOWN – Multinational chain of fast food restaurants Wimpy announced that on Wednesday, 8 May, every South African that has voted for this year's upcoming election can get themselves a free cup of coffee just for showing up and showing their thumb at any store in the country.
During 2014 and 2019, the company ran the same #cupsforvotes campaign for the national and provincial elections.
The ink-mark that is placed on your finger which is proof that you voted in the national and provincial elections will entitle you to a Wimpy Famous Coffee, which is a filter coffee.
