Apple to launch new iPhone and more today, here's what to expect

Apple’s announced that's annual event will be happening today on the 14th of September at 7pm, right around the time when the company typically introduces its latest version of the iPhone. 

As usual, Apple's announcements will focus on laughing upgrades to current devices, better style and improvements to hardware and software. 

Rumours suggest the iPhone 13 design will be similar to the iPhone 12 but with a possibly smaller notch and high refresh rate displays on all or most models, according to Bloomberg and Apple analyst Ming-Chi Ku. 

The rumours also indicate that the cameras are also set to get an upgrade with the iPhone 13. Improved performance for the ultrawide camera, better optical zoom for video recording, ProRes support, and a Portrait Mode for video.

Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo has confirmed that Apple will be dropping the 64GB configuration for the iPhone 13 and the Pro variations of the smartphone will offer a 1TB configuration.

Kuo says that the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage configurations.

Kuo also noted that Apple will launch a new set of  AirPods 3 at Apple’s 2021 product event as well as t Apple Watch 7 is expected to be announced.

Apple is also expected to announce the launch dates for iOS 15, iPadOS 15 and watchOS 8.
