Black Friday week is here, See the retailers having big deals in South Africa

Black Friday week has arrived in South Africa, with many retailers launching early deals in the lead-up to the big sale day this Friday, 25 November.

Many of these specials will run all week and all weekend, carrying on with Cyber Monday (28 November).

We here at Guzzle have compiled a list of all the retailers doing Black Friday sales to help consumers find the best deals.

Here are the retailers having Black Friday deals:

1. Superbalist

Superbalist, one of South Africa's top online fashion shopping retailers, will be celebrating the Black Friday Showdown from 23 - 28 November. These six days of deals include Cyber Monday.

2. Pick n Pay

Pick n Pay started things off with its weekly early Black November ‘teaser’ deals in the lead-up to Black Friday on 25 November. Customers can expect deals of up to 65% off across various categories.

On the day, Pick n Pay supermarkets will have deals on everyday items and so will its hypermarket stores.

3. Takealot

Takealot’s annual Blue Dot Sale starts with its Black Friday early access deals which are valid from 21 November until the 24th of November.

On Black Friday, new deals will be introduced throughout the weekend as well as on Cyber Monday, with up to 50% off "thousands of items".

4. Makro

Makro announced that customers can get their exclusive Black Friday deals in-store or online from 23 – 27 November 2022.

According to the company, it will be having massive price cuts on over 26,000 products, including gaming consoles, washing machines, TVs, laptops, and beer.

5. Woolworths

Woolworths announced that it will run Black Friday deals this month, having already launched ‘early deals’ and additional savings for its WRewards members.

In the lead-up to Black Friday, Woolworths is running its weekly specials, starting with 25% off beauty products and 20% off design and bedding items until the end of the month. Savings are boosted to 30% for rewards customers.

Further deals are expected to launch in the weeks to come, with Black Friday specials running on the day.

Categories on sale include beauty and fragrance, face and body care, hair care, baby care, dental care, health essentials, toiletries and household items. There will also be online and in-store exclusives.

7. Builders

DIY, home improvement store Builders announced that it will be offering customers Black Friday deals.

The deals are available online and in-store. Prices valid until 27 November 2022.

8. Dial-a-bed

Dial-a-Bed started off the month of November with their 'Black November' deals. Customers can save up to 25% Off all their mattresses! The deal is available at their 72 stores nationwide and online.

9. House & Home

House & Home announced that it would be doing 7 days of Black Friday specials. Customers can save up to 50% off on items such as homeware, furniture, appliances and more until 27 November 2022.

10. Leroy Merlin

Shop all home improvement products at Leroy Merlin during their Black Friday extended deals. Customers can get up to 80% off. valid until the 29th of November.

However, the deals can only be redeemed by loyalty card members or online members.

11. Edgars

Edgars announced that it will have four days of Black Friday deals valid from 24 - 28 November online and in-store. Customers can expect deals such as Buy 1 Get 1 Free offers across a wide range of fashion, footwear and accessories + up to 40% OFF your favourite skincare, makeup and fragrance brands.

It noted that their stores will open at 7.30 am on Friday, 25 Nov 2022.

12. Samsung

Samsung announced that customers can shop and save up to 35% on selected mobile, appliances, TV's and more. While stocks last. Valid from 02 Nov - 28 Nov 2022.

13. Game

Game stores announced after two consecutive years of month-long ‘Black November’ deals, due to the Covid pandemic, the group is returning to its one-day Black Friday sale instead.

The company’s Black Friday deals are set to go live at midnight on 25 November.

Customers can expect to save up to R7,000 on selected items with purchasing available online and in-store.

14. Shoprite

Shoprite will be offering customers a wide range of Black Friday deals between Thursday 24 and Sunday 27 November 2022.

15. Checkers

Checkers announced that it will be offering customers a wide range of Black Friday deals between Thursday 24 and Sunday 27 November 2022.

This year several of the new specialist Checkers stores – including Checkers Little Me and Checkers Outdoor - will all take part in Black Friday for the first time.

16. Huawei

Customers can save up to 40% on their favourite Huawei products this Black Friday.

This includes the latest smartphones and laptops that can be purchased for yourself or gifted to someone special.
