HP launches two new gaming Laptops

HP announced that it launched two new gaming laptops, a redesigned Omen 15 device and Pavilion Gaming 16 which feature the latest generation of Intel and AMD processors.

The difference between the older and newer Omen 15 are that it is thinner by 11% and 8% shorter and instead of a single long hinge in the middle of the laptop and has fitted two hinges on either side to increase stability.

According to HP, the new reduced size should not have a detrimental impact on performance, as the laptop now comes with more advanced cooling power and that it's the first gaming laptop which uses an IR thermopile sensor, which gives it “steady yet quiet” fan control.

HP said the Pavilion Gaming 16 isn't much bigger than the typical 15-inch laptop and that it is aimed at the more budget-conscious end of the market.

The Pavilion Gaming 16  features a 16.1-inch FHD display with refresh rate panel options of 60Hz or 144Hz.

Two processor configurations are available – an Intel Core i5-10300H or Core i7-10750H – while graphics options include a GTX 1660 Ti or RTX 2060 Max-Q.
