Huawei Care now offers access to insurance for your tablet and laptop

Huawei announced that its insurance offering Huawei Care now offers customers insurance for their laptop and tablet, and not just their smartphone and wearable.

Huawei users with devices that are less than 12 months old can choose from two specific insurance plans – the Huawei Care Lite and Huawei Care Pro.

By signing up for the Huawei Care Lite or Huawei Care Pro insurance plan, you get peace of mind that your laptop or tablet will be covered against various kinds of damage.

Here is a list of its different insurance packages:

1. Huawei Care Lite

This package offers you protection against water and screen damage, with the full replacement value of your device limited to accidental damage and subject to the limit of indemnity. There’s also no excess and needs to be a minimum claim of R500.

2. Huawei Care Pro

This package gives you comprehensive protection against screen and water damage, as well as accidental loss or theft. Here you will receive the full replacement value of your device subject to the limit of indemnity. You will also get a 25% excess on claim value on devices valued at R5000 or more.

Best of all, these Huawei Care insurance plans don’t require a waiting period.
