Lego launches new first certified store in Cape Town

Over this past weekend, Cape Town received its own Lego certified store situated in the Canal Walk shopping centre.

The store is the third to be established in South Africa, as the first two stores were launched in Sandton and Menlyn Park thanks to the Great Yellow Brick Co.

Founded by Robert Greenstein, Hayley Greenstein and Greg Bergh, the Great Yellow Brick Co are the official licence holders of the Certified Store concept in South Africa.

The company aims to reach its goal to launch a number of Lego certified stores across South Africa within the next three years.

The Cape Town store features a slew of sets for both young and old, including collections from Harry Potter, Star Wars, Netflix’s Stranger Things, the Ninjago series, Friends series and Lego’s own Creator line.

LEGO Certified Stores features other exclusive product offerings and installations too, such as:

Pick A Brick Wall – a custom-built fixture with round canisters, each filled with LEGO bricks and elements can be purchased in set priced cups.

Build a Minifigure Station – This section features a variety of parts and accessories that allows customers to create and customise their own mini-figures.
