What makes Huawei's latest operating system on it's new P40 devices worth while, find out here

The Huawei P40 Series is nothing short of revolutionary, however, an exceptional smartphone isn’t just about the elegance of its design, the quality of its hardware, or the photographic results it produces. It’s also about an operating system that is smart and intuitive, and that fuses exquisite aesthetics with essential functionality in a way that suits your lifestyle.

Huawei’s latest operating system, EMUI 10.1, builds on the impressive upgrades EMUI has offered in recent years, bringing you an enhanced all-scenario experience.

This involves EMUI seamlessly connecting you to your various Huawei devices – including your smartphone, TV, smartwatch and speakers – through powerful computing, intelligence, security and communications capabilities.

Here are some great features that make the new operating great:

1. Make HD video calls with MeeTime

Through EMUI 10.1, Huawei’s video call feature, MeeTime, offers the best video call quality to date, with full HD video calls possible between your Huawei devices.

Facial recognition and optimisation algorithms ensure you appear crisp and clear, even in low-light settings, and super-resolution technology helps to adjust the resolution and smoothness of your call in real-time if your network quality is weak.

MeeTime’s new two-way screen-sharing function also allows you to share information while you chat, just as if you were speaking to someone in person.

Other apps and functions are seamlessly integrated so that you can use a large variety of professional tools and social media platforms as you talk to you colleagues and friends. You can also connect MeeTime to third-party action cameras and webcams to enhance your digital interactions.

2. Multi-screen collaboration streamlines workflow

Huawei’s use of Multicast Source Discovery Protocol virtualisation technology enables internal hardware to interact with external systems.

This means that voice and video calls can be made directly on your PC while your smartphone runs PC software at the same time. The result is a sharing system that is easy and efficient.

EMUI 10.1’s multi-screen collaboration function breaks the barriers between Windows and Android systems, allowing for a wider range of devices to collaborate, helping with data flow and enabling multi-screen control.

A new multi-screen collaboration notification bar now exists in the bottom right corner of your PC display. Documents shared through conversations on messaging apps can immediately be opened and edited on your PC, helping you to stay focused and improving your productivity.

3. EMUI 10.1 takes things further

The full impact of EMUI 10.1 has to be seen to be believed. It now facilitates Huawei Share between eight different Huawei devices, including Huawei’s smartwatch and smart speakers, and makes use of Huawei’s unique Cast+ technology.

The latter improves the efficiency and reliability of data transmission through Wi-Fi networks, providing a stable viewing experience whether you’re making voice or video calls or playing online games.

EMUI 10.1 is featured in the HUAWEI P40 Series, and with both the HUAWEI P40 Pro and HUAWEI P40 now available in South Africa, there’s no reason not to experience these exceptional features for yourself.

The Huawei P40 Pro is priced at R20,999 and the HUAWEI P40 retails at just R16,999. They are available from all mobile operators and www.huaweistore.co.za
