You can now stream live sports on Showmax via a new trial option

Online subscription video service Showmax announced that it has launched a new trial option that will allow users to watch live sport on the platform.
Users will also have access to pre-recorded sports content on the platform.
Showmax said the following content is available as part of the trial, which is being tested with a randomly-selected group of customers:
- Live South Africa ICC Cricket World Cup games.
- Extended highlights.
- SuperSport magazine and talk shows.
- Selected live professional and amateur events, including from the SuperSport Rugby challenge.
- Sport-focused movies and documentaries.
The live sports option is available on several Showmax apps and platforms. However, this is excluding the Apple TV, Xbox and PlayStation consoles, and certain smart TVs.
