SnapChat released a gaming platform; Snap Games

CAPE TOWN – SnapChat on Friday released a multiplayer mobile gaming platform called Snap Games.

The service is available within the Snapchat app and can be accessed through a spaceship icon in the app’s chat bar.

Snap said in a blog post: "Friendship is more than just the things you talk about. Friendship is also about the experiences you have together — so we’ve been working hard to build an entirely new experience for friends to play together."

“You can see your friends in-game, send them a chat, or even talk live with voice chat."

According to the company, it has plans to launch six games such as Bitmoji Party, where players take part in various social sports as their Bitmoji character. Other games include Tiny Royale, Snake Squad, C.A.T.S. Drift Race, Zombie Rescue Squad and Alphabear Hustle.

Snap Games is already rolling out to users worldwide and can be accessed now.
