Apple debuts the new iPhone SE 2020

Apple debuts the new iPhone SE 2020 version featuring a 4.7-inch screen.

The device features an Apple’s A13 Bionic chipset, which also powers the iPhone 11 line. Storage ranges from 64GB for the cheapest version, to 256GB for the premium model.

It is also IP67 water and dust resistance with the Touch ID sensor, no headphone jack, and Apple’s Lightning port for charging also returns.

The device is also compatible with Qi wireless charging docks.

The iPhone SE 2020 also comes with a 12MP f/1.8 camera at the rear and upfront lies a 7MP f/2.2 snapper.

According to Apple, the device will be available for preorder from the 17th of April, going on sale a week later “across 40 countries and regions” and will cost $399.

The iPhone SE will also be available in three colours — black, white and Red.

“The first iPhone SE was a hit with many customers who loved its unique combination of small size, high-end performance and affordable price; the new second-generation iPhone SE builds on that great idea and improves on it in every way — including our best-ever single-camera system for great photos and videos — while still being very affordable,” said Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

“iPhone SE features the industry-leading performance of A13 Bionic that enables great battery life, takes stunning Portrait mode and Smart HDR photos, shoots amazing videos with stereo audio, is great for games and super fast web surfing, and is built with the same industry-leading security features our customers expect. We can’t wait to get iPhone SE into customers’ hands.”
