Instagram is testing a hide likes feature
Tech news

Instagram announced that it will be expanding its test feature called hide likes, which gives users the choice to decide whether or not they want to show their like count on their posts.
The test hides likes in the Feed, permalink pages and on profiles.
The social giant first announced the test at their F8 developer conference in April. Instagram said the reason for this test is because it wants followers to “focus on the photos and videos you share, not how many likes they get.”
The test was first only introduced in Canada but will now be tested in six more countries: Ireland, Italy, Japan, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand.
