Ster-Kinekor launches new subscription club card

CAPE TOWN – South Africa-based cinema company Ster-Kinekor has announced the launch of a new  “SK Subscription Club” which charges a monthly fee and provides subscribers with movie tickets and discounted snacks.

The service is offered in two tiers: the Fan Club and the MORvies Club.

Fan Club costs R249 per month and allows you to see four movies per month. This also comes with a 20 percent discount on the medium popcorn and soda combo from the concession stand.

This first tier will only be available at these locations:  Eastgate Shopping Centre in Gauteng, Watercrest Mall in KwaZulu-Natal and i’langa Mall in Mpumalanga.

Tthe second tier, The MORvies Club, will cost R349  to see up to five movies per day with the 20 percent discount on the medium popcorn and soda combo, and it is also offered at three theatres only.

The second subscription will be available at Eastgate Shopping Centre in Gauteng, Somerset Mall and Garden Route.

According to the official website, how payment works for the card is that the first payment is instant and follow up payments are in the form of debit orders, set on the members elected debit order date.

The company added that after three months the subscription can be cancelled or continued.

keep in mind that both subscriptions exclude Cine-Prestige, DBOX, IMAX, early showings and premieres.
