You could soon block screenshots on WhatsApp

CAPE TOWN – WhatsApp is reportedly creating a new update feature that takes away users ability to take screenshots of their conversations.
This is according to a report by WABetaInfo, which states that the social platform has submitted a new authentication feature that is still under development, will allow users to lock WhatsApp using fingerprint authentication.
However, if this feature is launched, users won't be able to take screenshots.
The report further stated that the reason for blocking screenshots is unknown but with the fingerprint authentification users can set WhatsApp to automatically lock after a period of time, and while the app is locked users will still be able to reply to messages from notifications and answer calls.
