REVIEW: The Lenovo Tab P11 is budget friendly and is worth its price

Lenovo Tab P11 tablet was launched in January 2021 and we here at Guzzle were given the opportunity to review the device.

When unpacking the review unit I received, these are the items that were found in the box:

The tablet is an entry-level device that features an 11-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 2000x1000 pixels.

The screen features 2K resolution, which was decent and the LCD panel has excellent contrast and dynamic range. However, the colour contrast wasn't very bright or vibrant compared to other displays from competitors. However, the large size of the screen makes it ideal for gaming, productivity, and watching Netflix on it.

The Tab P11 has excellent quad speakers optimized with Dolby Atmos, making enjoying a cinematic moving audio experience easy and seamless.

The 7.5mm aluminium body felt good in the hand and was pretty lightweight as it only weighs 490 grams.

In addition, a rubber layer covers about a third of the rear-end over the entire length of the body, which provides additional grip to the user and the smooth round corners also made it feel safe to hold

Lenovo's Tab P11 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor which can get up to 2.3GHz speeds and it offers relatively decent performance for the price tag and performs admirably at any game or productivity application.

It also features 4GB of RAM, runs Android 10 and is powered by a 7700mAh battery.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Lenovo Tab P11 on the rear packs a 13-megapixel camera. It also comes with an 8-megapixel camera in the front for selfies.

The images the device takes come out clear and sharp, however, it lacks video recording stability.

The 8MP 1080P wide secondary sensor delivers an excellent video calling experience when making calls for work meetings.

Lenovo Tab P11 is based on Android 10 and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB). It was launched in Slate Grey and Platinum Grey colours.

Connectivity options on the Lenovo Tab P11 include USB Type-C and Wi-Fi. Sensors on the tablet include ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and accelerometer.

The device also comes with an optional keyboard and Lenovo Precision Pen 2.

In conclusion, the Lenovo P11 is value for money, it comes with a good quality display with a 1200×1200 resolution panel, it supports an optional pen/stylus with palm rejection, offers good performance with the octa-core processor and the size is great for all entertainment purposes.

However, a few things to consider are that it doesn't have the fastest refresh rate, there's no fingerprint scanner and it also doesn't have an audio jack which can be a downside for a lot of people but it also seems to be the direction that many tech companies are taking.
